Was Diana proven correct that Camilla Parker-Bowles was Charles’ mistress when Charles civilly married Camilla as his 2nd wife?

(sidenote: the Church would not marry Charles and Camilla because of their adultery and because Mrs. Parker Bowles’ husband Andrew is still alive. The Church would only bless the civil marriage)

I didn't know that they weren't married in the church. Yes, she was proven correct. They used Diana because she was a virgin. I find it strange though that a church founded to give Henry VIII a divorce from his first wife has such a problem with it now.

Sir Prince Kenny is an idiot. He was with Camilla even before he married Diana and said there was three in the marriage in a TV interview. The snowflake is not too bright.

She knew it 5 years into the marriage, in the 80's.

Diana died years before Charles remarried, just for starters. She would be bound to have known what was going on, if only by the time her marriage to Charles was over - the Divorce came later, after the Queen said it was time to get their maritial situation made official (it was ENDED).

Why would Diana NEED to be 'proven correct'???

Diana was proven right that Camilla was Charles mistress when he confirmed it while still legally married to his first wife.

In 2005, when Charles and Camilla did eventually marry, the church could have officiated the wedding ceremony but it was by agreement of Charles, the Archbishop of Canterbury and The Queen that a service of blessing with an acknowledgment of responsibility for the breakdowns of their respective first marriages occur after the civil ceremony.

A certain anonymous asker remains obsessed with this subject.

Both Charles and Diana carried on affairs during their marriage.

Diana died in 1997 and was not alive in 2005 to offer her opinion of the union.

Diana was dead when Charles married Camilla, so he was free to marry anyone but he chose Camilla because he loved her. The fact that Camilla's former husband is still alive had nothing to do with it she was legally divorced from him. If you are divorced you are legally free to marry again.
