i If a va disability rating come back"not service connected" does that nean that the disability receive no rating or compensation?

Each condition will be listed as to type, percentage, combat rated or not and service connected or not. You will not have to guess, it will be clear on the rating letter.

Yep. If it's NOT service connected, then you get NOTHING!

That's correct. Not Service Connected means that the VA won't be paying you. I have a non-service connected disability for Congestive Heart Failure. This developed after my retirement. The VA still takes care of my medical needs, but I don't get any compensation and if my income is above a certain level, I will also have to make co-pays for treatment/meds. (Still cheaper than civilian costs).

that means you get no money
