What was nintendo thinking releasing the new yoshi on switch at 480p? I mean come on. You designed the game scale down the graphics for res?

They chose to keep everything running at a smooth 60 FPS with variable resolution vs. keeping a fixed resolution and variable frame rates.
You can't always keep a locked 720p/60, especially if you are using a third-party engine (which they did for that game).
