If those are the house rules, then i guess it has to be ok.

It's a bit strict. Certainly she should probably be in her room by them, on a school night, but otherwise she should be old enough for you to trust her to do the right thing.

If she has trouble getting up for school, then it's reasonable when there is school the next day. She could go to bed later on weekdays or holidays.

It's unrealistic. Teens are night owls. A 10-11:00 quiet time is better.

It is illegal and she should yell at her mom and let her know that she sets her own bedtime.

It depends on when she would wake up. I suggest she sleeps at least from 10PM to 4AM because that's the time when the body regenerates.

When does she normally wake up in the morning? For me i woke up at 430 every day and went to sleep at 8 on days i didn’t work. A teen needs 8-10 hours of sleep while adults only need 6-8 hours. Depending on when she wakes up if she wakes at 6 then 10 is a reasonable time

A 16 yo is developing - still needs at least 8 hours of SLEEP (not yakking/texting in bed) - - - so work backwards from what time she awakes in the morning. The idea is to be a good parent insuring maximum potential and health - not a buddy who enables.

Maybe it was in 1970, but not 2019.

    And I’m a parent of 3 teenagers.

They must be free to breathe.
