Unit factor method .... use the current as a conversion factor.

Current is the rate of flow of charge, and given in coulombs per second. A current of 7 amperes is 7 coulombs per second

1250 C x (1 s / 7.00 C) = 179 s

============

You may eventually have to relate this to a chemical reaction, and you may run across a faraday. A faraday is the amount of charge on a mole of electrons:

...... 1F = 96,485C.

Like, "How many grams of copper are produced from Cu2+ ions in a cell with a current of 7.00 amperes running for 45.0 minutes?"

45.0 min x (60 s / 1 min) x (7.00 C / 1s) x (1 mol e- / 96485C) x (1 mol Cu / 2 mol e-) x (63.55g Cu / 1 mol Cu) = 6.22g Cu

1 amp = 1 C/sec

1.25 * 10^3 C / 7 C/sec = time in seconds.
