We are NOT overloaded and overcrowded, especially in the southwest, which is very sparsely populated, so please drop that argument.
Mexico does not have the number of jobs available for them that the US does. Mexico has plenty of its own unskilled workers to do farm labor. It's the US that needs them. Those chicken processing plants that ICE raided recently are still closed for lack of workers. That means chicken is going to become . very scarce in some areas. Meanwhile, there's a prison in Mississippi that's receiving 300-500 asylum seekers a week, who are locked up in cells with concrete floors and little to eat- at a taxpayer cost of $700 a day. Let's process some, give them legal permission to work, and send them to the chicken processing plants.
