Why do today’s teenagers look so much younger than teenagers back in the 1960s?

If you look at photos of 1960s teens, they actually look like grown adults, but today, teenagers look like young kids. Why is this?

Could you please explain why you think such thing? i wasn't alive back in the 1960's but I know back then the rates of obesity were low, i also know that back then people were shorter than they are today.... so in the 1960's teenagers were unlikely of being obese and they weren't that tall... those two things make a person look young....

Part of it is that teens dressed more formally in the sixties.

The style was different back then ...and maybe similar to what a "grown adult" style looks like now.

It's a difference in physical education and maturity gained from responsibilities.

Disagree lot more teens today have self discipline issues and temper tantrums. The body is all over the place and unco. Their sensory wiring is shot from this fast paced life we are all living today.More drugs, alcohol, violence, stress, anxiety ADHD etc.
