'Antichrist' is an historical pattern started by Judas Iscariot, essentially replaying a 'super-sized' version of his path of deception, exploitation of Christ's power and resources, pilfering of money designated for the poor, secret betraying of Christ for money, and self-destruction after attempts to return those resources once defeat was imminent.
The Nazis played this out by starting out as a movement of 'compassion' seeking assistance from the Church for the 'poor working class German people.' Once Hitler gained access to war machines, he showed his true face, abandoning the Church and ultimately seeking dark knowledge in the occult, then in science. He destroyed himself but left a legacy of knowledge upon which modern atheistic science has constructed an entirely new world.
Any person, group or movement following this same pattern on any scale is 'antichrist.' It is inherently 'atheistic' and is pursuing what the Bible calls the 'mystery of lawlessness,' (2 Thessalonians 2:7), the pursuit of knowledge in a cosmos presumably devoid of GOD and His divine law.
"Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son." (1 John 2:22).
Donald Trump is a Christian, which means 'little Christ.' We are 'little' by comparison because of our struggles with sin and our degree of faith. However, any genuine Christian will publicly exhibit patterns and behaviors established by Christ, even if they are unaware that they are doing it.
1) Jesus was the first to publicly refer to His opponents and the enemies of GOD as 'dogs and swine,' (Matthew 7:6).
2) The REAL Jesus explained that 'the sons,' (His word for citizens), were naturally exempt from taxation and that 'strangers,' (His word for 'foreigners'), should pay them instead. He also waited for Caesar's collectors to come out before He actually paid them the taxes in order to 'end the offense,' (His words), but refused to pay them out of righteous commerce or money collected for the poor. Instead He sent His followers out to find a lost or neglected coin and used that to cleverly settle the debt, effectively returning some of Caesar's own 'misappropriated' wealth to him, (Matthew 17:24-27).
3) Jesus used language in public that would have gotten others arrested or killed, but the 'experts' most offended by His speech 'feared the people,' (Mark 12:12).
4) Jesus was so incensed at institutional theft and oppression masquerading as 'compassion' that He once even fashioned a whip from cords and drove out the money changers from the Temple in a public rage. Yet this should not be confused with a hatred for money or commerce, as is evidenced by His command to us to use even 'unrighteous wealth,' (i.e. 'mammon'), to 'make friends,' (Luke 16:9), and for us to expect '100 fold' prosperity 'in this present age' with 'persecutions' (Mark 10:29-31), when we embrace His new social models and abandon those previously established by the 'first families' of the world, ('The first will be last, and the last will be first').
Does any of this sound familiar, only 'smaller' when we talk about Donald Trump?
The righteous do not publicly slander authorities, which are set in place by GOD for the benefit of the respective populations and divine lessons, (Romans 13:1).
That is the spirit of antichrist. Donald Trump is under relentless attack by it. What 'side' are you on?
1"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
Jesus is not a 'hippie guru' leftist. He said His sheep were on His 'right' and the goats on His 'left.' The word 'righteous' itself comes from these statements and the word 'sinister' means, 'coming from the left.'
