Does living in the moment simply mean not dwelling on the past or the future but just being conscious of the right here and now?

    Yes you are quite right. To live in the moment, or now, means being conscious, aware and in the present with all of your senses. It means not dwelling on the past, nor being anxious or worrying about the future. When we concentrate our attention on the present we focus on the task at hand..

    Yep that's pretty much the definition of it. I live almost entirely in the past and so far it has driven me insane several times which I had to somehow bounce back from and at least 3 major nervous breakdowns. I think what makes it so bad is my past was so traumatic and harsh.
