Where do people who live on their boats, dock them (park them)?
The people who live on their sailboats and stuff... where do they park theim?
Like if they live on a boat in NYC, where do they leave their boats so they can come to land, travel the city and do whatever they want to do (buy groceries, go shopping, travel, etc..)?

They have to park them in a spot, called a "slip", with a bunch of other spots, usually referred to as a "marina". They can leave them there as long as they want, and they usually have hookups for electricity. I'm sure it's not cheap though.

I know someone that lives on his boat during the summer months. He rents a boat slip and leaves his car at the marina's parking lot so he can go to work, run errands, etc.
