When Tusk says EU won't cooperate with UK if UK leaves EU with no deal does he mean he will not allow any EU member to trade with UK again?

It just means he won't do the UK any favours in future negotiations, for trade or anything else - we can expect the same treatment as any other 3rd nation would receive.

That's about it. No favours for the UK in trade. At the moment we are within the EU, and thus we trade very favourably with our EU partners.

He measn he is butthurt that he won't be able to screw the UK for the 'divorce' settlement that would have formed part of the deal.

Who cares. There are those who voted to leave the EU who want NO CONTACT WITH THE EU AT ALL - close our borders completely, demolish ALL the airports AND everything that is grown/produce in the UK STAYS in the UK.

Tusk is an ego maniac with zero credibility. In the end he will do as he is told.

No, that is just a simple statement, indicating that the EU will not provide any special provisions for the UK, if the UK leave with a no deal.

    Yes and No.

EU can still do business with UK but needs to pay much higher price and under much more restriction. Naturally, EU businesses will be turned to other places.

"he will not allow any EU member to trade with UK again" - he didn't say that, you made that up. Why are you making up lies?

No, he's referring to the simple fact that if Britain leaves without a deal, they leave without a deal, no cooperation, Johnson wants to try to imply that he is negotiating something but the EU won't cooperate with him, in fact he wants them to fundamentally change their founding principles over the Irish border issue. This is not possible, Johnson can't come up with any workable solution quickly, he's too lazy to even try, so he wants to crash out but blame the EU...

@ asker. Tusk doesn't know what he means. He never saw this day coming and is now throwing out wild statements to try to recover position and to imply that he can hurt us after a 'no deal' Brexit. Let's get on with it please.

I don't see how the man could stop any individual from trading with anybody they want to? It might be so in a Dictatorship, but in most European countries, people don't live under such a regime.

He has no intention to stop EU states from trading with the UK by WTO rules. He can't stop that.
