    For sure, but as said, NOT to the extent it's currently burning. Usually rain falls, putting out fires. And of course, when there is fire the land will regenerate. But this is coupled with de-forestation, the clearing of the Amazon by farmers, encouraged by their Government for crop growing. And it's SERIOUS.
