    There are no foods that are off limits for those of us who have diabetes. We count the carbohydrates [ not sugar ] we consume and take insulin to cover it.Organic anything has the same carbs and plain old anything.

      Sugar is a carbohydrate, not a poison. Moderation is called for when using/consuming sugar. So my position is that sugar in not "not okay" for diabetics. {The debate hinges on the word "ok."}

    I would recommend using stevia instead. Make sure that it is one that does not contain dextrose sugar many of them do.

      Stevia can raise blood sugar levels. So can sucralose.

    It's basically the same as plain white sugar, it's not going to make much of a difference. Coconut palm sugar is better for type 2 diabetes because it contains inuIin.

      It said Inulin... a type of fiber that aids in blood sugar control for those with diabetes. NOT insulin
