What happens if you pour lighter fluid down a sink?

Update:

As in, would it be safe or could it create a hazard?

It would pollute the water. Most large cities reuse sewage water by running it through a water treatment plant. But they can’t remove 100% of the pollutants. Putting those chemicals down the drain will add a small amount of it to your drinking water.
