Why would God let you into heaven for just believing in him? Wouldn't you have to prove your worth?

It is not “just believing” ...

    “Even the demons believe “

It is repenting and making Christ Lord and Savior

In Christ His worth becomes yours.

What you “do” is be His as He paid the price of our redemption.

God does not “let people into heaven “

What God does is gather what is His.

The bible says, "faith without works is dead" even the demons believe and shutter and similar scriptures. So just believing is not enough. www.jw.org

We do not need to prove anything to God, He knows what we are doing.

There is nothing we can do to earn our way into heaven or to prove our worth. As for "just believing" in God, even demons do that and don't get a "get into heaven free" card. The belief and faith is about Jesus Christ... who He is and what He has done.

John 3:16 "16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."

"Jesus Christ... who He is and what He has done." That is an invented character and it did nothing. "“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son" Oh, what happened to 'god made that son' ? "the Father but through Me." That father and the son were two Romans.

Obviously. Claiming to know God while living a life of sin is worse than not knowing Him and living a life of sin.

Makes more sense that way to me.

    Proof is in the pudding.

No, you would not. God already knows our true worth, but loves us anyway.

      That is also self-hypnosis.

Exactly. The devil believes in God. No way is he going to heaven.

How do you know if you are proving yourself? Do you get a report card every six weeks? You also function on self-hypnosis.

Nonsense. How would you know until you die if you met the requirements?
