Is it inappropriate to send a work related email during the weekend?
I am planning to send a work related email and documents to my supervisor during the weekend. Would this be inappropriate, unprofessional, and rude in any way?

In my industry you’re expected to be available seven days a week. But this varies by field.

Unless your supervisor tells you to do so, don't send the email. Instead, email the documents right when you arrive at work.

Yes, it would be rude, they are not at work, leave it until work time.

No, it is okay for you to do so.

No it isn’t rude. Then the information is there for them on Monday morning. Just don’t expect a response over the weekend

Did he ask you to? If not, I probably wouldn't do it.

Depends on the nature of your job and what position you hold. As you climb higher up the corporate ladder, you're often expected to be available 24/7, including on weekends and even while on vacation.

No, but your supervisor probably won't look at them until Monday.
