Can I delete Microsoft "One Drive" from my computer WITHOUT adverse consequences?

    Sure. OneDrive isn't required for normal use of your PC. Microsoft would prefer that you use it, but it isn't necessary.

      Do you know for sure how it is integrated with their other programs and what the impact is on removing OneDrive. Is it only a default? Or by removing it will it cause errors in Word or Excel when it searches for a place to save? I don't know, but it's something I would want to know first.
