An automotive engineer said it some years back, that I read. We have refined cars a million percent from the days of flat head Fords. Efficiency and fuel economy just can't be compared between the two. And we take that knowledge and put 420 horsepower engines into Cadillacs.

I might think it would go the way of the automobile. Using plastics in place of metals in much of a car, the notion was to produce a cheaper car, well to the consumer today, the cost of a car is very hard to justify.

We can make cars faster cheaper and better, but JEEZ, they are expensive today.

There is a bit of autonomy in agriculture today, a single operator in one huge tractor simply babysits 4 others, all working under computer control.

What about today's lawn mowers and vacuum sweepers, you may be asleep when they come out and do their thing.

Until they solve the issue with collision avoidance, cars or other transport won't happen.
