What province is next to Ontario?

My son had his grade 5 geography test and one of the questions was which province(s) borders Ontario and he answer Quebec and he only got 1/2 mark.

Why was this? I thought quebec was next to Ontario? Is the educasion system fail and unfair in Canada? We went to Montreal with him last summer from Toronto and Quebec was next to Ontario?

  • Trick question. He didn't pay attention to the (s) after province. So it's fair. Two provinces are located on either side of Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.

I've been to Quebec on a business trip with my husband and Manitoba for a friends wedding.

Look left - see Manitoba there? It borders Ontario!

He got 1/2 a mark because he got 1/2 the answer.

I don't think you have much room to complain about the "educasion" system.

As said by Donnie Porko, he forgot Manitoba and part of Quebec

That’s because he didn’t include Manitoba which lies to the west of Ontario. Quebec lies to the east.

Province(s) means that it could be 1 or more provinces.
