Why do some schools not have a schedule where kids can come in every other day?

Students choose what they they prefer to come in and they mark what day they prefer. If they really wanted or needed to they could prefer both days. It would be easier on transportation services, overcrowding, etc. It would also give kids a extra break to do what they need to do every other day. If needed because the parents would have to find something to do with their kids every other day is have this schedule for higher grades such as High School. Special needs students have the option of having every day as well as shortened days. Most High Schoolers can take care of themselves. They would have more time to work, work on homework, be social, etc. It is really not a bad system. There is long hours but this is why they have a special free time where students have a time where they can work on homework, get touting, if they have good grades and everything they can have a choice to take extra enrichment classes or have a free time in designated areas such as certain classrooms, cafeteria, gym, outside recreational areas. As well as take special mini field trips.
