Commercial vs industrial painter?

I’d like to become an apprentice painter. Is it best to go through a union? Any thoughts on each one? Which pay is higher?

Don't worry about pay to start off. Apprenticeships on the whole, are better, as you're trained to a high standard, get experience and qualifications - and usually stay with that employer once you have graduated. As you build on skills and experience, then you can look at better pay.
