I think air turbulence can make that sound, when rushing in your ear.

If you have "swimmer's ear" or an ear infection, it can affect the shape of parts in your ear and consequently, the sound.

Maybe you can also effect or simulate this physiology and hear the sound by focusing on it.

Sometimes people have health problems and it can sound like a swimming pool (water filling the pool) noise which means the ear canal is very restricted and the air has to go in slowly.

Maybe changes of air pressures in changing weather conditions can also affect this.

Silence is so loud because the thing that's being kept silent is the same thing that eventually begins to take over like a cancer until even the silence itself begins to scream aloud showing that even though one remains silent the truth will eventually rear it's head without anyone even saying a word. Only those who's minds haven't been darkened by the cancer will hear the screams of the silence and see it as clear as the light of day.
