How can I warm towels or clothes on a gas stove?

Any idea? I don't want to burn them of course

    you can put the oven on low for a bit switch it off and let it cool till the shelves are just warm then pop them in close door for a few minutes

    Not a good idea, I suggest a clothes dryer or hang them in front of the stove with the oven on & oven door open.

    Place them in a preheated warm oven, NOT on the burner.

    You really can't. I put my oven on a VERY low level of heat to heat up some towels, and I still got "grill marks" (that luckily came out in the wash) on them. they do heat up quite nicely on those oil-filled radiators, though. (But then, you can TOUCH those - even for a long while - and not get burned.)
