Urban myth unless you paid for guaranteed time delivery.

    Yes but you're being played.

Denial is still on the table.

Fedex (and UPS) will refund the shipper if the package is late and it is Fedex's fault. The problem is if you are receiving a package you have to go after the person who shipped it to get a refund who may not have the time or be organized enough to file a claim with Fedex over a minor delay. The shipper could have also missed a pickup deadline or there were severe weather issues that would create reason (Exception) to deny the refund.

they might refund the shipping charge if YOU paid them directly and paid for a higher level of shipping in order to guarantee delivery by a certain date. For example if you go to the Fed Ex store and pay top dollar to have a package shipped across the country by next-day air. They would refund the shipping fee, not the value of the item in the package.

They are not going to pay for your Amazon purchases if the package arrives a day later than the "estimated" delivery day.

Maybe if they guarantee one of those overnight type packages. For regular ground, no way.
