More then 1/2 of the previous 5 years (3 years if you got the green card through marriage)

Are you a legal permanent resident with a currently valid green card? How did you obtain that green card?

Through marriage: you & your US spouse must have applied for, and you were approved for, removal of conditions on your temporary (conditional) green card. You are only eligible for naturalization after 3 years of residence in US from date green card was issued (date legal permanent residency was approved).

Other than marriage: you must have resided in US with currently valid green card for 5 years from date of approval of legal permanent resident status. See issue date on your green card.

Any time spent in US on any temporary visa, or not legally present, does not count toward residency requirements.
