If gender roles don't exist then why do trans people exist?

Gender roles do exist and play a normal healthy role in the development of child. Cultures norms dictate the behavior of children. For example, girls playing with Barbies and boys playing with trucks. Cross-gender preferences are also perfectly normal and healthy as a child learns the differences between their sex and the opposite one. As societal norms change so does the view of gender roles. A transgender identity occurs when a person's brain develops as one gender while the body develops as the other causing a sensation known as gender dysphoria. The person then must manipulate their body to match their brain or they could develop serious mental health issues. It is important to understand that gender identity, gender expression, and sex are all different concepts.Source(s): https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stage... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC60419...

Trannies exist only to draw attention to themselves and destroy their families.

Gender roles do exist. Who said they didn't? They don't necessarily define a person's sense of gender or identity but you can't deny they are a thing.

If gender roles don't exist, why do men get paid higher than women for the same (or in most cases inferior) job performance?

The two statements are not related.

"If gender roles don't exist then why do trans people exist?"
1. Gender roles do exist
2. Transsexualism (gender identity-body mismatch) is an issue of, wait for it, gender identity, not gender roles.
Gender identity is how we all internally perceive ourselves in a gendered way. Gender identity is an inborn and unchangeable trait that is programmed into our brain during fetal development. Most people are born with a gender identity that matches the sex of the body they were born into; transsexual people are not. This leads to a life of pain and misery as their body feels profoundly wrong and nobody sees them as the gender they truly are. When a transsexual person transitions they are affirming their inborn gender identity.
A primer that may help:
Transsexualism is a scientifically proven physical birth condition, whereas gender roles are social constructs.
Hope this helps.
Dark Alchemist: Gender Expression and Gnedr Roles are different things.
Gender Expression is how we all walk, talk, dress and mannerisms.
Gender Roles are societal expectations for someone based on their apparent gender. Example: Mom being a stay at home parent with her children and a Dad being the breadwinner. Men being tough and unemotional, while women are more compassionate and emotional.

They have no reason to!

Because we have a physical problem which leads to mental health issues if we don't have the right mix of sex hormones. Also, if gender roles don't exist, the division of labour concerning parenting should extend to the likes of pregnancy, breastfeeding and insemination, which means that some people would transition physically for that to be fairly distributed.

Transgenders are extremely sexist individuals that force their interpretations of what "gender" is on everyone else.
No one has an innate "gender" except sexists. Sexist scum repeatedly spews hate speech about how women and men are different mentally and use hormones as a reason to discriminate.
See how they insist that you have that innate "gender" in your mind even though you don't? They claim it because they're too sexist to think otherwise.
Do not listen to the sexists who insist gender expression and gender identity and gender roles are all different things. Sexists are Sexist, and LGBT is full of sexist people.

Gender Roles and gender are two different things.
Gender Roles are the assumed activities that are supposed to be part of a particular gender. For example...hunting for men, gathering for women (to use early man as an example), taking care of a house for women, providing for a family for men.
Things like that.
Gender is what you perceive yourself as. I am biologically male and I identify as male. So my gender is male. However there are people who are biologically one, but their mind is wired to be the other. My friend who transitioned from female to male recently for example. He is biologically female, but he has always felt that he should have been male. His gender is male regardless of the configuration of the nethers.
