What's the point of eating a hamburger if it's not real meat?

Like the beyond burger. Why do vegetarians eat copy cat foods of non-vegetarians?

Vegans like to eat fake and synthetic food made in a lab and like to believe they're healthy. They believe this is a good alternative because it doesn't directly involve animals but it still has environmentally destructive ingredients anyway. They can't think properly due to nutrient deficiencies.

If you want meat, then have a meat based one, I'm quite open to trying one of the 'veggy' ones if their not too dry.

I regularly eat meat amd still enjoy a good veggie burger. Aldi's actually has a chipotle southwest black bean burger that is really good as a "taco burger". The teriyaki one they have is also nice with coleslaw mix (just the veggie part not the sauce), grilled pineapple, and carmalized onion sauce.

Humans are omnivores and crave meat. So vegans are just trying to satisfy their natural cravings that are intensified by their unnatural diet.

Normal people have no interest in fake meat.

Sometimes vegetarians miss the taste of meat.

Good point. Seems sort of silly, dedicating a diet toward avoidance of meats or animal products just to imitate them, instead of coming up with new options.

What's the point of eating at all if you're just going to eat again in a few hours? What's the gain?
