In terms of it's history this is the good the Catholic Church has done.
(i)Built the university system in Western culture
(ii)Built many hospitals in the Middle Ages
(iii)Patronized the Renaissance
(iv)Preserved many of the classics in their monasteries
(v)Pioneered peacemaking with the "peace of god" and "truce of god" movements
(vi)Pioneered human rights through the works of Dominican friars like Bartolome De Las Casas and Francisco De Vitoria
(vii)Pioneered social justice through 19th century Italian Jesuit scholar Luigi Taparelli
(viii)Pioneered the Big Bang theory through Catholic priest George Lemaitre
(ix)Did more to evacuate Jews in the Holocaust than any organization(as many as 1 million according to some stats)
(x)Played a major role in the down fall of communist oppression in Poland and Eastern Europe
(xi)Played a major role in democratization in the Philippines through the people revolution
(xii)Played a major role in resisting the genocidal Indonesian occupation of East Timor
This is just some of the positive things they have done in history. In terms of today, the Catholic Church is doing the following:
(i)Providing 1/3 of all the health services in the world
(ii)Providing 1/4 of all the AIDS treatment globally
(iii)Advocating for refugees globally(the Pope and Italian Bishops have defended African and Muslim migrants from the far right in Italian politics)

I saw people who really couldn't afford it giving to help the poor.
A young and pretty Spanish nun who shared a taxi with us (missionaries) turned around in the front seat and simply loved us. She knew very well who we were.
At least the Catholic church remembers that Christ expects us to obey him, keep his commandments, give up our sins, and do good works. That's more than a lot of other churches can do.

Catholicism leads to hell because it teaches works for salvation. There is nothing good to say about it. Get away from catholicism
Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed in Jesus for eternal life, or not.
The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that Jesus is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death

Beautiful artwork. Charities. Certain Catholics have been amazing examples of Christian love.

Peace beyond all understanding and freedom from the fear of death, along with genuine faith, hope and charity, writ large and long, the world over, courtesy of our Savior Jesus Christ, who remains the head of the Catholic Church, the Holy Spirit, who remains its constant Advocate/Spirit of Truth and God the Father, whose inestimable power, love and grace makes it all possible, in spite of rampant, human corruption.Source(s): www.askmeaboutgod.org

they've certainly done a lot of social good, and have established themselves all over the world (presumably for God), and influenced many people, but what's important to God is that His Son Jesus is preached, believed in, and followed. Jesus didn't come to fix the world; He came to direct people to the kingdom of God, repentance from sin, and being born-again.the RCC does not teach or promulgate following Jesus and/or being born again in Him.
