If one knows in some degree and extent what is being (Ontology), then one's philosophy pursuit begins there, with self. Cf Peter Sloterdijk's "You Must Change Your Life" or Soren Kierkegaard's "Purity of Heart Is to Will One Thing."

As Confucius and others have noted, it is the disciplining of self under Heaven's laws that brings increasing freedom. To disciple self per Energy or Great Tao, or by a Prophet's statements, asks some self-awareness and honesty-to-God, Truth.
