    You can send it to your county extension agency. I have also seen soil test bags offered at places like Home Depot, where you mail your sample off to an agriculture-oriented (usually state) college for testing.

    You don't need to send your soil or manure sample to have it tested for nitrogen Amazon sells a soil test kit for under $12. any person can test their own soil or manure in just a few minutes with the strips and the chemicals that are provided it's very easy here's a picture of it.
