I'm at a steady 3/year

I'd say as long as it's less than one or two a year you're doing ok. At least that's that standard I try to stick to.

Depends on your age
Once your baby teeth are gone and your permanent teeth are in the answer is zero

we all need but you especially need ionic minerals and iodine the dentist won't tell you either..........and you likely eat lots of junk food with all the preservatives and chemicals, the Food Babe dot com has a great book as well, if you care, look on amazon, on foods to avoid and what is good for you, you probably got the bad habit of cold sodas or ice water, bet you never knew it messes with your digestion.
If you want to change, most people don't......

after childhood, none. once you're an adult, once they fall out, they don't grow back

None. Once your permanent teeth come in, you are not supposed to lose any. Unless they get knocked out by some incident or accident.
