Should Canada get rid of birthright citizenship?

Virtually all first world countries have ditched birthright citizenship. That is because travel is so easy now. Long gone are the days when someone arriving in a country was there for life. Most now stay only a few years and then go home. It is nonsense for a temporary worker's children to get citizenship just because they happen to have been born there.
