That creation spanned billions of years, silly. Not all of us are Young Earth Creationists.

    • It is written that when Heavenly Father and Jesus came to this Earth it was found void and without form, does this mean no life! No continents, how long before this was it dormant and how long did it reside as part of the Galaxy

It means they found an old jawbone of indeterminate age and origin. I still don't know how someone can find a bone and say "it's 170,000 years old". Why not 70k? Why not 700k? the age is, in my opinion, just someone's guess.

Nothing, because the handful of fundamentalist Protestants who believe in "creationism" are expert at ignoring the evidence.

That the creature the jaw bone came from existed 170k years ago. It's not hard to read the evidence. It's interpreting the evidence where bias comes in.

  • Okay, this will make you cry

Evolutionists are faced with a controversy1,2 with the discovery of ‘human-like’ fossil footprints allegedly made 5.7 million years ago at Trachilos on the Mediterranean island of Crete.

Why a controversy? Because according to the evolutionary scenario at that time our human ancestors were only found in Africa, had ape-like feet but didn’t walk upright until much later in history; about 3.6 million years ago.3

I thought that 170k years was too old for carbon dating and too recent to be dated with zircons. Do you have a source? A link?

But, it doesn't matter. Rocks have been dated to ages millions or billions of years for decades. Even it your source checks out, it is just one nail of many thousands in the notion that Earth is 6000 years old.

People deny that Earth is old because they haven't figured out that the Genesis passage was written to people who were herding sheep 3000 years ago. These sheep herders did not know about quantum physics, string theory, Higg's boson or time frames of billions of years. The purpose of the Genesis account is about who (God) made the Universe, not about when or how He made it.

    Really?

Once around the sun is a year.

What did they do? Hold it up and proclaim 'This jawbone has been around the sun 170,000 times'?

All dating methods have been proven to be faulty.

    ALL OF THEM.

Why are you trying to make God out to be a liar?

    That's SLANDER. God cannot lie.

You are disrespecting sacred scripture at the least, and blaspheming the Holy Spirit at the worst.

It means that highly educated, experienced archeologists and other scientists, all of them, are wrong. That carbon dating doesn't work. That layer dating doesn't work. And that a 2000 year old book, written at the 4th grade level, which is full of lies, ignorance, myths, and superstition is correct.
