Is it a good idea to scan bills and other paperwork to your pc?

    do both. keep files of your paper copies, and electronic copies on your PC in folders that are organized. you can also backup them to a cloud storage solution like Google Drive, iCloud, or another solution like Carbonite.

    keep important files on a thumb drive and store that away somewhere if you need that much protection.

    For having backup copies of important items, I think scanning them is a great idea. But one should always remember that computers can be hacked so having such info on the computer does also open you up for some risk.

    It will be useful . and I have saved in Google drive also..to keep a backup in the Google drive
