I learned how to extract square roots. I can honestly say in the succeeding 60 years I have never once needed to do that.

Something I learned at an early age in school was how to take naps. And that has proven very useful.Could use one now in fact.

I took 4 years of Spanish and never had the occasion to use a damn word of it.

Of course, 30 years later..........yes, I was actually in Spain---several times in fact, .....and I suppose it might have been useful......but who could remember a word by then.

I learned how to use a crayon, how to eat graham crackers and milk, and how to take a nap.

In our small town country elementary school we had to square dance in gym.

Update: This took place in the mid to late1980s.
