If an evil person and a good person were in a relationship would they start to rub off on each other (like the good one becomes more evil)?

I'm writing a choose your own adventure visual novel, I need to know for plot reasons.

Evil is distortion of Energy Law, aka God; simple eviling, energy-veiling, is like asking for a second serving if one's better angel is urging "portion control." As eviling cuts one's self from God, Energy, the hollowness of the evil Mr. Hyde or early Scrooge is a kind of social-ist or plutocratic (great whore/business personalities in John's "Revelation" of human psychology in conflict with the Divine) becoming a step-by-step choice to either be just, true, and merciful, and return as prodigal Son to heavenly Father, or no. The hollow men or men without chests motif is the evil-doer who is using up her spiritual reserves, and if there is not a choice toward good, Childlike kindness, forgiveness, and the like--and a reconnection to God's Light and Energy--then the eviling becomes more wicked, more manipulative, more "talking serpent." Thus if such devolution occurs, a kind of vampirism preying upon the energy of the good person typically plotly occurs. If the subconscious of a John Milton powers a subtext in "Paradise Lost" of "the snake has all the lines," the author's focus or intention has subtly shifted or altered. In other words, the character of the author, at various levels, may lead to the "dish running away with the spoon," as in "Lolita (or Lilith) running away with the 'spoon,'" etc. In reality, there's Truth of Goodness, and then relative good and evil, and the good soul character is like the good Capt. Kirk vs "evil twin"--the "twin motif."

I'll agree with David. Good and evil will be in conflict until one gives in. The strength of character counts. Give in to a little temptation from your lover makes it easier to give in to a greater temptation. Macbeth gave in to his wife's temptation to kill King Duncan. His desire to be king was sprouting in him before, when the witches prophesied it, but I doubt he would have done more than wished for Duncan's death had not Lady Mabeth weedled, goaded and fired him up to kill him.

The good and evil don't make as much of a difference as the strength of character for each one.

It's said that the nature of evil is polluting and infectious. However, when people resist this, conflict develops.

Plot twist: It's the same person.

    Plot twist x 2: Single, and it's a case of self-harm.

Plot twist x 3: Parents were the Good and Evil.

Plot twist x 4: Break the 4th barrier and order some taco bell nacho fries.

    GET THEM NACHO FRIES

Yes, the relationship wouldn't really work or end well either.
