I got a no. 2 buzzcut and a LOT of scalp is showing. Is this normal? (21/f)?

I was sick of always getting a mohawk or undercut, so I thought I'd get a buzzcut, and my hairdresser warned me that two was a bit too short but I ignored her like a dummy. Still, I don't think it's normal for my head to look like a ballsack with a no. 2 shave. The sides and the hairline look dark and nice, but the scalp is very visible on the top, even in low lighting. What's going on? Is this female-pattern baldness? Is my hair thinning?

You just have thin hair plus a number 2 is really really short, even for a buzz cut. Next time tell your barber what type of hairstyle you want, they’ll know how to cut it for you.

I think most buzzcuts use a number 4 on top and a faded number 1 on the sides, but I’m not 100% sure since I usually don’t get buzzcuts. But yeah everything looks good, just make sure to ask your hair salon person next time. I’m sure they would be more than happy to make a suggestion for you.

It's perfectly normal in the early stages of going bald.

Maybe your hair is thinner than some other people or the cut is too low. Maybe a buzz cut just isn’t for you. Not trying to be rude.
