Surely! Bad posture and position can lead to some serious injuries. You spend hours to practice, although it is frustrating to break a bad habit, it's beneficial and can save you from a lot of trouble and problems.

For all Instruments, your posture will affect your kinesthetics and therefore, your technique. They are a very few players who seem to have done OK with strange seating, etc. - but they are few and far between. The more I practice or perform, the more critical that I am positioned correctly.
