what's the best liquid insecticides spray that you can buy for the exterior of your home to prevent ants & spiders coming in?

Update:

I live near the woods and have found black widows in the house

I find a strip of Raid sprayed along the cracks, and above/around the outside of doors, discourages them effectively. It needs to be re-applied once in awhile, but it's inexpensive. Don't use it indoors.

Permethrin. You can find it at feed stores. It is for farm use, like spraying cows for flies and it is also used around food processing. For common residential, what you find at the garden store, which is probably malathion. You save $ with permethrin, but you have to buy a lot for a residence. Read up on the dosage rates before you buy.
