Can you get a medical discharge from the military if you have high blood pressure?

Only after they have gone thru all the various medications available to treat it. If they find they can not treat it adequately then they will separate you.

Not normally, unless it becomes out of control. They gave me meds for mine, and, I stayed in for a full career.

Only if treatment does not work

not necessarily. they would first try multiple ways of treating it.. to include making you lose weight in addition to going on meds. you cantle just have a few readings that are in the danger zone then get kicked out. your PCM will follow up and since it can easily take a year or longer too determine whether or not it is treatable.. its a long slog.
