Can a Women get pregnant three days after her last period or is that impossible?

missA so I didn't ejaculate but I'm scared pre-*** may have gotten in her. What's the percent chance that she could get pregnant from that?

It's not "impossible", but it's highly unlikely.

Every month, her cycle is going to begin on the 1st day of her period. She USUALLY ovulates 14 days from the 1st day. Ovulation is the ONLY time during the month that she is fertile and can get pregnant. Ovulation takes place over only a 24-hour time span of the 14th day.

Three days after the end of her period, she's not yet ovulating, and so there's no mature egg in her body that she can release to be fertilized. No mature egg; no pregnancy.

People can talk about "ovulating early" all they want to, but that usually doesn't happen.

Of course it's possible. There is no day of a cycle where pregnancy is 100% impossible.

And if you're talking three days after a seven day period ended, she doesn't even need to ovulate early. Cycle day ten would be in the fertile zone.

After it started or after it ended? Because 3 days after it started + sperm that can live up to 5 days puts her at only CD8, and if she ovulated that day, that would be an unusually short follicular phase. But 3 days after period ended + assumed 5-7 days of bleeding + sperm living up to 5 days puts her at CD 12-15, which for women with average-length cycles would be within her fertile window.

I would not say it's impossible but it's not likely.

Sperm can live up to five days in the womb.

If she ovulates early, yes, she can become pregnant.

For a woman who has a lengthy period and a short cycle that may actually be her most fertile time of the month.

For a woman who doesn't, it's probably not prime babymaking time but it's by no means impossible.
