Any suggestions for a scenic loop around Las Vegas?

My fiancee and I are heading out to a wedding in North Las Vegas in February and are renting a car for probably seven or so hours to drive around and see some of the natural beauty outside of the city. Any recommendations on cool spots to check out within a reasonable radius?

Hoover Dam and Red Rock are both close enough and worth seeing.

Death Valley is about a 2 hour drive, the opposite direction of Boulder Dam.

Boulder Dam is really something to see. For a small fee (about $20) you can go into the dam itself and see how it really works. I loved it. Don't forget to drive through the Strip at night. It is amazing.

Hoover/Boulder Dam [See photo]...take the tour when you get there. It's an easy drive from LAS.

Hoover Dam is somewhat south of the city, but you should see that.
