Is it possible to develop thyroid cancer with one side of the family has had thyroid cancer and the other has issues with hypothyroidism.?

    Rarely (if ever) linked to inherited risk factors. Most cancers are not.

    I doubt you really understand what a "family history" of a type of cancer means. It means that multiple people all related by blood have the exact same type of cancer.

    In any case the only person that could tell you id your have a risk at all is a doctor after he reviews your family history and makes a judgement based on what he finds. People online are the worst possible source for trying to be diagnosed with a medical condition and only a hypochondriac would think that asking random people online about your odds of getting cancer makes any sense at all.

    Anyone can develop thyroid cancer, regardless of family history.
