Isn't the real reason socialism always fails, because Socialism has no real means to create new wealth?

Update:

In order to produce new wealth, in a socialist system, doesn't capitalism has to find ways around taxation, regulation, confiscation and bureaucratic interference?

Socialism removes all hope of excelling......the best you can hope for is mediocrity.

    let me see...

Paris Commune? ended by military force

Ukraine in the 1920's ended by military force

Eastern Spain in the 1930's ended by military force

Warsaw Pact? could not sustain the Cold War against an adversary that had unlimited credit

Several third world countries? Forced by IMF and world-bank to privatise and liberalise

Co-ops like Mondragon are doing fine though.

Wealth is created by work, regardless of whether your economy is capitalist or socialist. Capitalism always concentrates the wealth in the hands of the richest. Socialism is supposed to spread it over the entire worker-class. Unfortunately, power often corrupts, that's why actual socialism puts power in local collectives rather than in centralised national burocracies

Oh there's wealth...for a while. But only for the few that get to decide where that wealth goes...then it never ends up going anywhere.

Not for everyone, no. Only for the select few who inevitably end up being in charge. I think I said that already.

No. Socialism is succeeding in many countries around the world. Countries that use socialism have no problems creating new wealth.

For those who say Socialism is good for nothing, National Socialists in Germany started an auto company named Volkswagen, meaning Peoples Car, which resulted in 2 of history’s most iconic automobiles, the VW Beetle, and Microbus. With the Beetle staying in production from 1938 to 2003!

One, socialism doesn't always fail. It's succeeding all over the world as we speak. It's even succeeding in the US, or have you not heard of Social Security? Since the wealthiest countries in the world are all hugely socialist, your notion that there is no means by which they create new wealth is obviously false. Third, socialism's goal, which if you actually new anything about it you'd know, is to create wealth for the many, particularly those who labor to create it, not wealth for a few, a leisure class who by in large never labor to create it.

when the state OWNS the company, the voters decide what gets done, & they OWN the output-

all of it. Corporations currently TAKE AWAY your output.

But PRETEND not to know, like usual.

The only reason socialism fails is there always seems to be some wannabe dictator that screws it up.
