How do vegans avoid sinning by eating animal products when they had to drink milk as infants and toddlers?

The concept of 'sin' requires personal culpability. To 'sin' one must know an action is wrong but choose to do it. Infants and toddlers cannot sin because they cannot have culpability. They do not choose to consume milk but they are given it. Of course, ideally, they will consume milk from their mothers' breasts rather than from cows.

Being vegan is a choice, it has nothing to do with sinning.

Yes, they drank milk as infants and toddlers, but that was before they chose veganism.

Do people not understand simple things anymore...?

They didn't become vegans until they became an adult and could make that decision on their own.

And it's not a sin, just that eating animal products is something they feel they should avoid, for various reasons.
