Admit, acknowledge , and recognize?

both acknowledge and recognize have the meaning of "admit", so can i say that acknowledge and recognize mean " to agree, often unwillingly, that something is true " ??

when someone is unwilling to agree, the best word is "admit" ?
Update: can i use acknowledge and recognize to replace admit? if i want to express "unwilling"?
