When I first got my dog he slept in the bed with me. Now he doesn’t why?

When I got my dog he got on my bed all the time. Here lately he hasn’t gotten up on my bed unless I’m not home he will be on my bed. Why won’t he get on the bed with me when I’m home?

The dog thinks it is your prime real estate and he does not want to challenge you for possession. In other words, he is submissive to you. If you are not home, then it is OK for him to use it, in dog world. Another example is wives going through husband's billfold and cell phone. She would never do it in front of him,, because that is a challenge. But, she will do it when he is not there.

Maybe you move around in your sleep and it bothers him. He learned to sleep on the floor at night and take the luxury of your bed when you're gone.
