have you ever stared down a seagull at beach and watched him get really nervous and start squawking?

Seagulls will fly away when they are nervous. I do not need to stare at them for them to fly away. They come to me looking for food when I am feeding ducks near some winter refuges for water fowl. Some will even perch on a fence just a couple of feet away from me hoping that I throw some bread at it. I try to feed the ducks, not the seagulls or the pigeons.
