There is no blanket generalization on this. The saved and the unsaved -- some have it easier, and some have it harder. We all live in the cursed earth. On the plus side, our temporal lives in these bodies is a drop in the ocean of an existence of eternity. It is better to choose a good eternity, than spend a short time, thinking we are living it up -- not realizing what we are trading away. It's like Esau who traded away his birthright for a bowl of soup. The soup didn't last long, even though that's what he was craving and felt was more important - at least at the time. He wasn't looking ahead.
The Bible says to count the cost -- and if we do, we will actually find that sticking with the God is the wisest choice.
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Psalm 84:10, KJV
