Does Boeing still get orders for new 747s?

I noticed that Japan has put their state VIP 747 up for sale because it has been replaced it with a 777. Is there any demand left for new 747s?

Yes, but very slowly, mostly by ones and twos. The last big order came from UPS last year for 14 -8Fs. At the production rate of less than one per month that will keep the production line open for another 18 months. While Boeing still has the passenger -8I in its catalog, all the orders for the last couple of years were for the freighter model. Currently, there are no more passenger 747s in Boeing's backlog.

There is some demand for the 747, but mostly as a cargo plane. And there is much less demand for the 747 than there was twenty or thirty years ago.

The last few (cargo) 3 for UPS and one for Airbridge Cargo are being produced and a couple are apparently earmarked for the USAF that were for Transaero who went out of business, afaik.

    Aside from that, no.

Boeing didn't get any order in 2019, had a few in 2018, and still have 20 aircraft that have yet to be assembled and delivered.

But that is likely only the 8F variant, the cargo only version.
